Find what you need, near you
A working map of shelter, food, clothing, legal help, medical care, recovery, and meetings. Contra Costa County is mapped place by place; where a record says checked, we matched it against the provider's own website on the date shown. The rest of the country comes from federal registers. Enter a ZIP anywhere in the United States and the search below names the Continuum of Care covering it, out of the 387 HUD lists, then gives the nearest of 41,851 service locations transcribed from HUD and SAMHSA. Those 41,851 reach all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and the territories, and nobody from Enfiaré has visited or phoned any of them. Each one carries the register it came from and the date we read it, so you can weigh it yourself. Call ahead before you travel. The list works whether or not the map loads.
If you are in danger right now, the lifelines are here. Call 988 for a mental health or suicide crisis, or 911 for an emergency.
The map, and the records we keep ourselves
The map carries every place in the atlas: the twenty-five Contra Costa records below, and 41,851 listings from the federal registers across the country. The list underneath is the twenty-five, written out in full so this page still works if the map never loads. To find help anywhere else, use the search above.
Lettered pins are the Contra Costa records. Search any United States ZIP below and the nearest register listings appear here as numbered pins. Tap any pin for the address, a call link, and directions.

Find help near you, anywhere in the United States
A Continuum of Care is the body that coordinates homeless services for an area, and it runs the intake that decides what help you can get. Most people have never heard the phrase and could not name theirs. Every one in the United States is listed here, 387 of them, taken from HUD's own register published August 19, 2025.
These are not places you can walk into. They are who to ask. HUD publishes no intake numbers, so none are shown here and none have been guessed. Search a CoC's name together with coordinated entry to find where it takes calls, and use the report link on any record to tell us what you found.
Those four are everything the federal registers we carry actually list. They hold no food, clothing, legal aid, or meetings anywhere in the country, so a search for those comes back empty here. That is our gap, not an absence of help near you. For food and utilities, calling 211 reaches a local United Way referral line that covers them, free and confidential.
Or browse the whole register:
How these listings are checked
Each record above carries its own line. Checked means we matched the name, address, and phone against the provider's own website on the date shown; it does not mean we have spoken to them, so call ahead before you travel. Listed means it is on our map and has not yet been through that check. Every date ages on its own. Past sixty days a record says it is due for a re-check, and past a hundred and eighty it says to treat the entry as unconfirmed. Nothing is refreshed by hand to look newer than it is. Meeting schedules belong to the groups that run them, so confirm those at contracostaaa.org. The wider method, including what is still missing, is on our Status page. If anything here is wrong, use the report link on the record and we will fix it and note the change.
Browse every listing as plain text, by state — works with no map and no signal.
