FAME is the human program every other instrument exists to serve. It is the one entry in this system that is people rather than software.
Why it sits in FI
Foundations and Infrastructure is where the means get built. A trained peer walking beside someone is infrastructure in the most literal sense the word has, so FAME belongs here alongside the housing and the maps rather than off to one side.
The principle
Someone who has come through a thing is the person best able to walk beside someone still in it. Every piece of technology in this organisation exists to put a person next to a person, never to replace one.
Honest state
Being built. The program is not running and we will not describe it as though it were. Our founder is in recovery and training toward addiction counseling certification, which is why the commitment here is not abstract.
